The SureStart protection fully covers your shingles in the event of a manufacturing defect during the vital early years following installation. Once the SureStart period ends you are covered for shingles only and at a reduced rate as the roof ages.

How Do I Know If I Need A New Roof?
It's Over 20 Years Old
If your roof is more than 20 years old, it’s time to talk to a professional. Most asphalt roofs have a lifespan of 12-20 years. If you don’t get it inspected, you risk problems like structural damage and interior water damage.
Missing or Curling Shingles
Exposure to the sun and changing temperatures can cause shingles to curl, and high winds can blow shingles right off. Missing and curled shingles can lead to serious leaks and means it's time to replace your roof.
Ceiling Leaks
If you are seeing brown spots in your ceiling or in the attic, there’s a good chance that your roof is leaking. Sadly by the time you notice the leak in your ceiling, this means water damage has already begun.
Granules are missing
If your shingles look strange, are different colors, seem patchy, or you see granules in your gutters, you should consider a roof replacement. When granules begin to wear off, your shingles are failing and you are more susceptible to leaks and water damage.
